Lost and Found

My love for you
Is in the lost and found
It’s worn and torn
It’s not like new

I’m a like a child’s gloves
Left on the playground
You left me there after you were through

The next day
I was found
But not by you

They took me to the lost and found
That’s where I was
And I think you knew

But you didn’t bother to come around
You left the one’s you loved
That kept you from the cold

That’s when you got new gloves
You wanted new
Instead of old

Then somebody came to me
With their needs
Somebody I could keep warm
They repaired what you had torn
And to their hands I form

And to my love
I fit like a glove
