American Idol Poem/Video
© By Matthew Ballard

I showed up with my voice
and I smiled
You made your choice
When my number you dialed

And with my hair styled
And new clothes
You listened to a song I chose
That a famous artist composed

Now you think
I’m the best
And it shows

Then I met the panel of three
And one disagrees
But don’t worry
He’s a tease

He’s not nice
Like the lady in the skirt
That likes to flirt.

Or smart and alert
Like the guy
That won’t hurt my heart
And said I’m off the chart

I’m that good
I’m going to Hollywood

And I hope I’m never in the bottom three
And never with that guy that won’t agree.
And never sent home
Because of this poem.
